General Questions

What does SleepMate do?

SleepMate is a sleep support device designed to help little ones fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.

 

It combines:

 

🌙 A soft, adjustable night light to create a calming bedtime environment

🎵 Gentle white noise to block out household and outside sounds

⏲️ Timer and brightness controls so you can customise it to your child’s routine

 

By creating consistent light and sound cues, SleepMate helps signal to your child’s brain that it’s time to wind down and feel safe — making bedtime smoother for everyone.

Is SleepMate safe for babies and toddlers?

Yes — SleepMate is designed with babies and toddlers in mind, with safety as a top priority.

 

It features soft, warm-toned lighting (no harsh blue light), adjustable volume controls to keep white noise at a safe level, and a low-heat LED design so it remains cool to the touch. The materials used are child-safe and durable for everyday use.

 

For babies, we recommend placing SleepMate on a stable surface out of the cot or crib and following general safe sleep guidelines. As with any sleep product, adult supervision is recommended.

 

If you have specific concerns for your child’s age or needs, we always suggest checking with your healthcare professional for personalised advice.

Can I adjust the light colors and brightness?

Yes — SleepMate is fully customisable to suit your child’s sleep preferences and bedtime routine.

You can:

  • Adjust the light colour to choose a calming tone that suits your little one
     
  • Control the brightness level, from a soft, dim glow to a slightly brighter setting for bedtime stories
     
  • Select from multiple sound options (including white noise and other soothing sounds)
     
  • Adjust the volume level to ensure it’s comfortable and appropriate for your child

This flexibility allows you to create the perfect sleep environment — whether your child prefers a very gentle night light with low background noise, or slightly stronger sound to help block out household distractions.

Does it work without the app?

Yes — SleepMate works perfectly on its own, no app required.

 

All essential features — including light colour, brightness, sound selection and volume — can be controlled directly on the device. This means you can set it up quickly at bedtime without needing your phone.

Safety & Usage

What is the decibel range of the speaker?

The SleepMate speaker can reach up to 110 decibels when measured from approximately 1 inch away from the speaker surface. In normal use, your child will be much further away, so the actual sound level they hear will be significantly lower.

 

The volume you experience will depend on several factors, including the sound you choose, the size and layout of the room, and how far the device is from your child’s ears. If you’d like to get an estimate of the volume in your space, you can use a decibel‑meter app on your smartphone, keeping in mind these readings are approximate and not perfectly accurate.

What is the recommended volume/decibel level I should use?

We recommend a safe decibel range of 50-70 to avoid any harm to a child's ears.

To achieve this, keep the machine at least 1 metre away from the child's place of rest and have the volume level around 60-70% on the SleepMate device.

How far away should I keep the machine?

The recommended safe distance to place the machine is 1 metre away from the child's place of rest.

Can I leave the SleepMate device inside the cot while my child sleeps?

No. We do not recommend placing SleepMate inside your child’s sleep space.

 

Keep the device off the mattress and away from blankets or other fabrics, as this can create an electrical and fire safety risk. Always position SleepMate outside the cot or bed, on a stable surface at least 1 metre away from where your child sleeps.

Shipping and Orders

How long does shipping take?

Domestic Shipping (Australia)

Standard shipping for orders within Australia are estimated to arrive within 3 to 15 business days after dispatch. 

 

For faster delivery, Express Shipping (Australia) is available starting at $9.95 AUD and is estimated to arrive within 1 to 3 business days after dispatch. Upon dispatch, an email with tracking information will be sent.

Can I track my order?

You can expect a shipment confirmation email with all your tracking details once you have placed an through Snoozi Kids. 

 

The shipping details will be sent to the email address registered with your account or the email you used during the checkout process.

What should I do if an item is delivered damaged?

Please note that Snoozi Kids is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If you received your order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim. Save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim.

Can I change the delivery address after ordering?

If, for any reason, you need to update your address after placing your order, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Our dedicated team will make every effort to accommodate your request. Please note that address changes are only possible within a limited time frame.
